I bought a used Schwinn scooter a couple of years ago. When I went to take it out it this year it ran but very slow and lethargic, assuming that it was the batteries I bought 2 new batteries installed and charged, but had the same problem. When I bought the bike it came with a spare motor so I Proceeded to installed but still no change. The only other component that I could see left was a DC brush controller. I looked online but could not find the exact replacement so I started to tinker with it again, I hooked up a electric meter to the 24 volt charging port which read 24 volts at rest but when I gave it some throttle it immediately dropped down to between 20 and 21 volts. At this point I am not sure whether to find and purchase a new controller or could it be the batteries or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vic,
