I can effectively state that I have no clue as to what I am doing. I get things that I am told will work together and then they don't. So, here is what I currently have:
1x XCooter Blaster XC300GT
1x 600w Brushed DC Permanent Magnet Motor
2x 10" X 4" Air filled tires
1x 40 amp fuse
1x Motor Belt
1x variable voltage DC Brushed Motor Controller (link provided) Motor Speed Controller, DC 10-55V...
So, we hooked it up and the motor was fine except you went from 0 to 100 instantly! Lol. Not cool if you need to regulate your speed. That is with the potentiometer hooked up that came with it.
Next we tried a typical e-scooter twist grip throttle. It ran backwards. And only slowed if you twisted the throttle.
So, we flipped the throttle Magnet. Reversing polarity. It went forward, but at a 14-89 % functionality range. Meaning at its lowest, the motor was running at 14% (never turns off) and highest 89% (not full speed). Again, a potential problem.
The throttle we tried was a hall sensor throttle. Which I am sure is part of the problem. Then the other part would be the controller, is probably not for e-bikes and scooters.
Any suggestions besides a magura 5k ohm throttle?
